Riff Master Pro - A software to slow down music and learn the fastest guitar solos with ease
How I learned guitar solos back in the 80s?
Isn’t it your dream as a guitar player to be able to play popular guitar solos of your favorite guitar players? I know the answer to that question is a BIG 'YES', and there is no doubt that It is the biggest dream of almost every aspiring guitarist in this world, including me. During my times – back in the late 80s and early 90s – guitarists like me didn’t have the luxury of digital music to easily scroll back and listen to solo repeatedly to learn it, but instead I used to learn it by rewinding and playing the tape recorder back and forth hundreds of times before we could learn – bit by bit. Though it was an extremely tiring ordeal, I never used to back off until I learned it, all because of my unwavering passion for learning the solos of my favorite guitar gods.
Now learning a guitar solo is much easier with a media player in your laptop or phone, and there is no need to screw up your fingers by pressing the rewind and play buttons of the tape recorder until they come off. But even this latest technology won’t help your ears to extract the right notes off of a guitar solo which fast - played using 32nd or 64th notes or above that. Of course there are some people who have a trained ear to learn even the fastest solos just by listening to it couple of times, to a an extend I am also capable of do it, by repetitive listening, but I tell you it’s very strenuous and will drain you out. The truth is that a vast majority of amateur guitarists cannot even think of doing it which takes a lot of practice, skill and ear training. Let’s keep that topic aside for the time being and talk about a much practical and easier option.
