This course is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced level players alike. Though Metal Method is designed for those who would like to hone their lead guitar skills and to learn other advanced guitar techniques to master Heavy Metal, Classic Rock and Blues, The foundation to all these genres and styles are  all the same. So NO PRIOR GUITAR KNOWLEDGE is required to take this course and even an absolute beginner would find it quite easy to follow.

This course is designed as any other basic guitar course and progresses smoothly and slowly towards advanced techniques. This course can be easily taken by anyone who is totally new to Guitar and even children above 8 years of age can also easily follow this of course with some help from their parents. Whether you are looking for learning acoustic guitar or electric guitar, this course is suitable for you. Because the basic difference between an electric and acoustic guitar is that the electric guitar amplifies the sound using pick ups and amplifiers. Otherwise musically there is no difference between the two.

About Doug Marks, The author of Metal Methdod course

Doug Marks is a highly experienced guitarist who had been playing in bands, recording various albums and teaching for over 30 years. Metal Method was born in 1982 as a result of his discovery that his students required more detailed and practical oriented training. Initially there were only few small lessons, which then grew and matured into a full blown course over a period of 28 years after a lot of additions, editing, fine tuning and tweaking.

Animated Tabs: A Revolutionary Method to Learn Guitar : The Author of Metal Method has invented a method to play guitar notes rather easier than the sheet music that is traditionally used(which is actually meant for Keyboard or Piano) for Guitar it is not that helpful because a note can be played in many different places on the FRET of a guitar that doesn't occur in a Piano. That's when TABs were invented exclusively for Guitar. But the problem with TABS is that it doesn't indicate the timing and sustain.
