Guitar Superstars Review

Guitar Superstars was founded by Andy Johnson who is a seasoned guitar player with over two decades of experience and a good guitar teacher. Ben Phillips, Chris Nicholson and Lorenzo Wolff are some of the teachers in Guitar Superstars. This course was designed by him to teach guitar in a method that bypasses the traditional method that is time consuming. But I don't know how far it is achievable. Though this course is designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced players alike I personally feel this course would be more easier those who had been playing for a while.

Cons
-
From my experience, even the best of the best guitar course cannot teach you guitar in 100 Miles/Hr as it takes hours of practice on a regular basis for years to master the guitar. There is no ready to eat capsule that can transform you to a Guitar Superstar overnight. I am slightly skeptical about the 'Lightning Speed Technique'. If you want a slow progression with detailed step-by-step lessons, then I would suggest Learn and Master Guitar to you.
-
The main focus is on Rock N' Roll style of playing, although they cover other genres, but not in-depth. This is where I would recommend JamPlay or Learn and Master Guitar
-
It is very easy to get distracted with so many video lessons, though they have arranged it quite well. Loosing your focus due to a number of instructors is also another disadvantage that I found. But the one-on-one interaction will really help the students to get over the confusion and being overwhelmed.
-
With a number of tutors, you might find it hard to follow the styles of different tutors at a time. But the 1 on 1 interaction covers that problem to an extent.
-
If the student is a complete beginner, then there are chances that he/she can get overwhelmed by the amount of lessons that they offer. Consider Learn and Master Guitar or Jamorama if you are a complete beginner.

This course is sold at $47. Guitar Superstars claim that before the Internet days, Guitar Superstars where selling their DVD pack for $997and it was sold out in 2 days(I personally dont know if that is true :) ). But after the Internet came, they could create a down loadable version of their course that can be accessed as soon as you sign up with them.

All lessons are Video Based and can be accessed easily through Guitar Superstars website's member's area Control Panel.
Customer Support

Conclusion
If you are looking for a more comprehensive and conventional form of guitar course then I would recommend you to check out Learn and Master Guitar also, which is a DVD based guitar course that you can learn it offline.
